Creative Specifications

Weekly E-mail Ad Specifications (Text-Only)

Text ads in the e-mail newsletters can be up to six lines of text, 62 characters per line, including spaces. A click-through URL is included in the six lines. The click-through URL must begin with "http://" and cannot be longer than 62 characters.

Creative deadline: 5 business days prior to campaign start date



Daily E-mail Ad Specifications (HTML-Only)

The 250 x 250 square banner and 120 x 600 skyscraper banner ads for the daily e-mail should follow the creative specifications for those banners listed below.

Square Banner Specifications

Size: 250 x 250 pixels
Maximum file size: 12K
File formats: jpeg and gif. All square banners must be static.
The Chronicle does not accept rich media, iframes, or layers.

Skyscraper Banner Specifications

Size: 120 x 600 pixels
Maximum file size: 12K
File formats: jpeg, gif, and animated gif.
The Chronicle does not accept rich media, iframes, or layers.

Button Banner Specifications

Size: 120 x 90 pixels
Maximum file size: 12K
File formats: jpeg, gif, and animated gifs. Number of rotations in animated gifs should be limited to 3 loops.
The Chronicle does not accept rich media, iframes, or layers.
