At a Glance: Pine Crest Community Foundation

History: Established in 1994 by Rebecca Brogan, then a freshman at Pine Crest School, a private institution in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. It is run by students.

Purpose and areas of support: To inspire Pine Crest School students to be aware of and help needy infants, children, and teen-agers in Broward County, Fla. The organization raises money and makes grants to youth organizations in the county.
