The following awards have been presented for work in advocacy, fund raising, nonprofit leadership, philanthropy, and other areas:
Education fund raising. The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (Washington) has presented its 2008 Distinguished Service Awards. The winners:
— The CASE Lifetime Achievement Award went to E. Burr Gibson, executive chair of Marts & Lundy (Lyndhurst, N.J.), who began his career in fund raising at the March of Dimes
