Company to Give $9-Million in Technology Grants
SBC Communications will award grants totaling $9-million this year to nonprofit technology projects in the 13 states in which the company provides telecommunications services.
The SBC Excelerator program is designed to help charities use technology to operate more efficiently and better fulfill their missions. Nonprofit organizations may submit proposals to the company's foundation in areas such as computer networking, high-speed Internet access, technology training, or online efforts
