Who gave it: Eric F. Ross, founder of Alpha Chemical and Plastics, in Newark, N.J., and the Mercer Plastics Company, in Florida. He died in 2010.
Who got it: United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
Purpose: For the museum’s endowment
Donor’s previous giving to the museum: Mr. Ross and his late wife, Lore, donated about $13-million,
