No Gender Gap in Bequests
Men and women who support charities are about equally likely to provide for charitable organizations in their wills, according to new research by the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University, in Indianapolis.
The data not only contradict conventional wisdom that women are more likely to leave money to charities, but also point to untapped potential for arranging bequests, with about 84 percent of donors surveyed saying they haven't provided for pet causes in their wills, says Una
