Nonprofit Pay Continues to Be Hot Topic for Government Officials
Nonprofit pay was a key topic among regulators and lawyers for nonprofit groups who gathered here for this year's meeting of the National Association of State Charity Officials.
The Internal Revenue Service is delving deeply into the matter of compensation of highly paid officials as part of its effort to investigate the financial activities of colleges and universities, Lois G. Lerner, director of the IRS Exempt Organizations division told participants.
