The Kirov Academy of Ballet of Washington DC has had to make cuts and beef up its fund-raising efforts after losing significant support last year from its main donor. Officials at the nonprofit academy are determined to shore up its finances and seek new donors to guarantee that it will continue to produce the top-level dancers for which it is known throughout the ballet world.
