Live Discussion
The slow recovery from the recession continues to make fund raising challenging for nonprofits nationwide. But some groups are doing much better than others in 2011.
Learn what makes the difference for groups that are thriving—and what you can do to make sure your group does all it can to maximize donations.
Three fund-raising experts will join us on Tuesday, June 21, at noon U.S. Eastern time to take your questions about giving in 2011 and interpret the key trends from the release of "Giving USA," the annual benchmark of philanthropy to be released the day before this discussion.
The Guests:
Laura McKnight, chief executive of the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation. She formerly worked as a tax and estate-planning lawyer. Her organization was among the groups The Chronicle singled out for effective fund raising in its Philanthropy 400 study last year.
Nancy Raybin, is managing partner of Raybin Associates, a fund-raising consulting company in New York, and immediate past chairwoman of the Giving Institute, an association of fund-raising consulting companies. She is also the former chairwoman of the Giving USA Foundation, which publishes Giving USA.
