To Market, To Market
A growing number of charities, large and small, are joining with companies to raise moneySt. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in Memphis, has long relied on money from corporations. In particular, it has been focusing on marketing deals with companies, and last year raised $21-million from such arrangements. The deals don't happen without a lot of work, however: St. Jude has 13 employees who have developed alliances with 40 companies and are seeking out new ones.
