White House Committee’s Proposal Would Tighten Rules for Religious Groups That Receive Federal Money
A White House advisory committee this month proposed ways to strengthen rules for religious charities to ensure that they use government money only for secular purposes.
The committee, however, was divided over whether houses of worship should be required to set up separate organizations to receive the funds.
