Yahoo Founder Donates $75-Million to Stanford U.; Other New Gifts

Eight institutions have received big gifts:

  • Jerry Yang, co-founder and a director of the Internet search engine Yahoo, in Sunnyvale, Calif., and his wife, Akiko Yamazaki, have pledged $75-million to Stanford University, in California.
