The nonprofit group raising money to build a September 11 memorial in New York has made its list of donors public, reports the Associated Press.

The roster of donors includes many of the city’s most prominent politicians, bankers, and businesses. For instance, billionaire mayor and noted philanthropist Michael Bloomberg donated $15-million, and Eliot Spitzer, New York’s governor, donated $2-million through a family foundation.

The largest gift, $25-million, came from the Starr Foundation. Deutsche Bank AG, in Germany, and David Rockefeller also have given $15 million each.

The fund-raising group has raised $300-million so far, out of the $700-million it estimates it will need to erect the memorial, two reflecting pools on the site of the old World Trade Center buildings.
