American Express Starts Reward Program for Volunteers

American Express clients who participate in the company’s rewards program can now gain extra points by volunteering, reports The New York Times.

The credit-card company announced this week that members can earn 500 reward points for every hour of service on projects listed with the placement service VolunteerMatch, a qualifying charity, up to 10,000 points a year.
