November 15, 2012, 10:40 am

Financier Carl Icahn has pledged $150-million to Manhattan’s Mount Sinai School of Medicine, which will be renamed in his honor, reports The New York Times. The 76-year-old corporate raider has already given $50-million to the Upper West Side institution, now called the Icahn School of Medicine.

The gift will primarily go toward building the school’s research capability, said Dr. Kenneth L. Davis, president and chief executive of the parent Mount Sinai Medical Center.
