Casino Mogul Adelson Gives $50-Million to Nev. Jewish School

The Adelson Educational Campus, a Jewish private school in Summerlin, Nev., announced Wednesday a $50-million donation from its founders, Sheldon and Miriam Adelson, the billionaire gambling magnate and his wife, writes the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The 600-student campus, started in 2006, takes students from pre-school through 12th grade and is modeled on an academy in Haifa, Israel, from which Ms. Adelson graduated. Mr. Adelson, the billionaire chairman of the Las Vegas Sands Corporation, and his wife primarily support Jewish causes through a foundation the couple launched the same year.
