CBS News has removed from its Web site an article published last month that was highly critical of the relief charity Feed the Children’s claims about its aid effort in Haiti, reports The Oklahoman.
CBS reported on February 18 that the Oklahoma City charity had inflated claims about its work at a camp for Haitian earthquake victims outside Port-au-Prince. Feed the Children’s spokesman, Tony Sellars, said the organization sent the network a letter that “pointed out the inaccuracies in their story and they took it down pending further investigation.”
The charity also started a Web site this week designed to disprove the CBS story.
