Conservative Group Seeks Dismissal of Suit Over Gay Marriage Photo

The conservative nonprofit organization sued in September a same-sex couple over its use of their engagement photo in anti-gay-rights mailings has filed for dismissal of the case, The Washington Post writes. Northern Virginia-based Public Advocate of the United States contends that its use of the 2010 photo is protected by the First Amendment and that the New Jersey couple has no privacy claim because they posted the shot on a blog where “anyone in the world with access to a computer could view it.”
