Cornell Law School Gets $25-Million From Anonymous Donor

June 11, 2012, 10:42 am

The Cornell University Law School has received a $25-million gift, the largest in the school’s annals, from an unnamed former graduate, the Ithaca Independent and the Associated Press report.

The contribution, announced by the university Friday, is one of the most generous in the history of U.S. legal education, law school Dean Stewart Schwab said. The donor requested anonymity.

The money will go into the school’s general fund and support student scholarships and research, among other ends.
