Foundation Unveils Strategic Plan to Help Students Finish College

January 11, 2013, 11:20 am

The Lumina Foundation announced a new strategic plan Thursday that aims to improve college-completion rates across the nation, says The Chronicle of Higher Education.

Its plan enlists the help of leaders in education, employment, and politics and will help colleges and states develop new business and finance models to increase the numbers of students who graduate.

The grant maker hopes to raise the college-completion rate from the current 38 percent to 60 percent by 2025.
