A Seattle charity has deployed 14 buses soon to be filled with supplies for poor people in Cuba, reports The Seattle Times.

The Friendshipment Caravan’s buses will make 120 stops in the United States and Canada and collect medicine, medical goods, bicycles, and other items. The shipment, the 18th in the organization’s history, will depart from Mexico to avoid the American government’s trade restrictions with Cuba.

The group says it conducts the bus ride to protest the ban on aid to Cuba, not simply to collect goods for the poor.
