Donations to a fund for victims of last week’s mass shooting at a Colorado movie theater have reached nearly $2-million as of Tuesday, according to Reuters.
Twelve people were killed and 58 wounded in the rampage early Friday morning at an Aurora, Colo., theater showing the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises. Warner Bros, the studio behind the film, made an undisclosed gift to the campaign run through fundraising Web site GivingFirst.org.
A Denver television station, citing sources, said the studio donated $1-million. Contributions to the fund will go to charities offering direct support to people affected by the shooting.
