Herman Cain ‘Super PAC’ Supports Ex-Candidate’s Nonprofit

July 16, 2012, 10:27 am

A political nonprofit group formed by Herman Cain has been the primary beneficiary o the former Republican presidential hopefuls super PAC, reports Politico.

Federal filings by Cain Connections PAC show it contributed $75,000 from April to June to the nonprofit Cain Solutions. The political-action committee made no other donations during that period.

Mr. Cain, who briefly led the GOP race in polls last year before ending his campaign amid accusations of sexual harassment, has built a network of overlapping political, nonprofit, and business groups that includes two super PACs; Cain Solutions; the Cain Foundation, an educational charity; and a print and radio syndication network.

Politico could not reach a Cain representative for comment.
