July 28, 2010, 1:57 pm

The Nobel laureate and Grameen Bank founder Muhammad Yunus will be the guest star on a forthcoming episode of The Simpsons, according to The Daily Star, a Bangladeshi newspaper.

Mr. Yunus has already recorded his voice for an episode of the iconic animated series that focuses on his microcredit work. The episode is set to air October 3.

Yeardley Smith, the Emmy Award-winning voice of Lisa Simpson and a longtime supporter of Grameen programs in Haiti and elsewhere, visited Dhaka, Bangladesh, this month to study microfinance models and other efforts by Mr. Yunus.
