The Chronicle has just posted more than $18-million in new grants, listings that are exclusively available to subscribers to the newspaper and to its Guide to Grants. We are now posting such updates more regularly to help readers as they search for new sources of support.

Among the highlights of the grants just posted:

• The McKnight Foundation has awarded $200,000 to the Natural Resources Defense Council to reduce pollution of the Mississippi River and preserve the Clean Water Act.

• The Hearst Foundation has awarded $100,000 to Old Spanish Missions for its capital campaign to preserve churches.
