NFL Charities will hold its first bowling fund-raising event this year during Super Bowl week, reports the Associated Press. For the past 20 years, the charity has been raising money through a celebrity golf event, but subfreezing temperatures in Detroit, which is hosting this year’s Super Bowl, led the organization to consider indoor fund-raising events. Beth Colleton, the NFL’s director of community affairs, says the event is expected to raise “well above” $100,000.
