Officials Warn of Storm-Related Charity Scams

The Justice Department, state attorneys general, and independent consumer groups are among many organizations warning of potential charity scams in the wake of Superstorm Sandy, says the Associated Press.

More than 1,100 Internet addresses related to Sandy have been registered since last Friday. Authorities worry that not all of them represent legitimate charities.
