One Laptop Per Child Group Lays Off Employees

The nonprofit program One Laptop Per Child, in Cambridge, Mass., will be reducing its staff by half due to dwindling financial resources, reports the Associated Press.

The group, which sells durable laptops to developing countries at a low price for use in grade schools, will be left with about 32 employees at reduced salaries, reports the news service.
