Graham Spanier, the former president of Pennsylvania State University, was charged Thursday with eight counts, including perjury and endangering the welfare of children, relating to a child sex-abuse scandal at the university, reports The Washington Post. Jerry Sandusky, a Penn State assistant football coach and founder of the Second Mile Foundation, a charity in State College, Pa. that worked with disadvantaged youths, was found guilty in October of abusing boys and was sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison.
