Any thoughts on how to get a board more excited about participation? I am doing work for a client and the board seems flat, uninspired, and transactional.

A board must have a purpose that goes beyond its traditional responsibilities of being guardians of the institution. A board must also be strategic. It is in this area that boards must become active in their thinking and participation. This does not mean boards become tactical. There is a significant difference.

Thanks.
