I am an employee of one of the largest child-development organizations working in India. Now we are focusing on introducing ICTs -- information communication technologies -- for our children living in a remote parts of India.
There are millions, especially those in the smaller towns and villages and in the lower socio-economic sections of society, who have been left out of the information-technology revolution sweeping the globe. This has resulted in the creation of a "digital divide," with a small proportion of "haves" who know computers and a huge section of "have-nots" who are not equipped with even basic computer-literacy skills.
In order to equip rural communities with information technology, we need to work systematically with our partners in 85 nongovernmental organizations across the country to bring the world closer to them for the success of the developmental activities.
Are there any trainings available in relation to implementing ICTs in the rural villages? I am interested in getting trained.

I am from Nepal. I have my own nonprofit organization; our goal is to conserve natural resources through community mobilization. Recently I have also started an early-childhood-education program in Nepal and am seeking a sponsor for both my organization and this program. I am also willing to attend a short-term training course in environmental conservation with full financial support.

I have eight years experience in nonprofit accounting with cost-report knowledge. And I have been laid off for 18 months. Is there any low-cost training or networking options you can recommend for me? Thank you.
