Independent Sector Meeting Attracts Many Blog Writers

A half-dozen or so nonprofit blog writers are covering this week’s Independent Sector conference in Philadelphia.

Heather Carpenter, a nonprofit consultant, writes on her Nonprofit Leadership 601 blog that the event is doing a good job connecting with younger charity workers.

On Katya Andresen’s Nonprofit Marketing Blog, the vice president of marketing for Network for Good praises how candid the new head of the Wal-Mart Foundation is when discussing the grant maker’s priorities.

And Tera Wozniak, a nonprofit worker from Grand Rapids, Mich., is writing updates on Twitter about the conference, including watching the president of Independent Sector dance — “OMG, dancing at IS w Diana Aviv, fantastic!”

Other blogs writing about the meeting include Perspectives from the Pipeline, the Foundation Center’s PhilanTopic, New Voices of Philanthropy, and the Diversity Projekt.

The Chronicle is also covering the meeting on its Conference Notebook blog and Twitter.

Are there other blogs writing about the conference? If so, mention them below by clicking on the comment link below this post.
