Plans fundraising programs for The Salvation Army to corporations, small businesses, churches, civic groups and community organizations. Writes, telephones or visits individuals or establishments to solicit funds or gifts-in-kind. Solicits donations and cultivates relationships with corporate donors in order to help secure and maintain new revenue sources; assists in developing fundraising plans and goals; assists donors and potential donors by responding to questions; evaluates day-to-day fund-raising efforts to ensure that goals are met or surpassed. Coordinates and leads National Capital Area Command Advisory Boards/Councils in the cultivation and stewardship of corporate and community support.
