The Epilepsy Foundation of Florida is the state's largest and
oldest epilepsy service provider, serving people with epilepsy and
their families for over 40 years. The Director of Finance will
oversee the financial management and integrity of an organization
with more than 40 employees and an annual budget of over $4
million. He/she will have a Master's degree in Accounting, Finance
or equivalent of 5+ years of experience; non-profit experience is
preferred.
Responsibilities for the Director of Finance include: financial
stability, integrity and legal compliance and accountability of the
Foundation's operations, financial analysis and reporting. The
Finance Director will work with the Board, the community and others
to fulfill the Foundation's mission.
The Director of Finance will manage and execute all fiscal facets
of the Foundation's agencies under the direction of the Chief
Executive Officer and oversee technological infrastructure
requirements of the organization. He/she will prepare financial
reports, budgets and forecasts for the CEO and Board of Directors
as required and will coordinate all aspects of independent audits.
He/she will supervise Finance staff, ensure timely management and
execution of cash flow activities and distribution of the
Foundation's payroll, prepare fiscal information required in all
grant and contract proposals, supervise contract billings and
manage and execute contract reporting requirements.
The Director of Finance will review processes and operations for
efficiencies by integrating best practices and identifying
opportunities for technology improvements.
