community greening and visitor experience. Primary Responsibilities
The Director of Development will plan and direct the full range of
development and communication activities for the Garfield Park

corporate contributions above $2,500; and expand the current
Alliance Membership Program. The Director will develop and

communications to the public including media, donors and members.
Reporting to the President of the Garfield Park Conservatory
Alliance, the Director of Development is a key member of the
management team and will work closely with the Chairman of the
Board of Directors as well as other Board members for training and

liaison to the Board fundraising committees in support of the
organization's fundraising efforts; and works very closely with

reports as well as the Director of Programs & Interpretation on

(up to $2,500); and the Grants Coordinator who is responsible for
all proposal writing and reporting. The Director will have overall
responsibility to grow the base of membership and will supervise
all grant proposals from corporate, family and public
foundations.
