A recent gift of $25 million (the largest gift in the School's 75-year history) from long time supporters, John E. and Marion Anderson, will be used to bolster innovative academic programs, student support and faculty research. Under the direction of the Associate Dean for Development, the Senior Director, Major Gifts is responsible for developing and executing long- and short-term strategies to secure major gifts from individuals, alumni, foundations and other entities in support of the school's mission and strategic plan. More specifically, s/he will manage the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major gift prospects ($100,000 and up), with an emphasis on endowed chairs and other program endowments in the $500,000 to $3 million or higher range. The Senior Director, Major Gifts works closely with the school's Dean, Senior Associate Dean, Associate Dean, volunteers, faculty, students and development staff and other colleagues school-wide and campus-wide. In addition, the Senior Director will manage a portfolio of prospects, and provide development support to several Research Centers.
