Job Description
Grants Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Diversity Development
Job Description:The Grants Coordinator coordinates grants from a
variety of private foundation, andgovernmental sourcesâ??both at
the local, national, and international level. TheCoordinator
assists the Director of Diversity Development with grant writing,
grantreporting, and implementation strategies to achieve Film
Independent's fundraisinggoals; researches, submits grant proposals
and letters of inquiry; coordinatesacknowledgments, report
preparation, and database management. The GrantsCoordinator also
supports the Director of Diversity Development with other duties
asassigned.
Duties:
· Write grant proposals and letters of inquiry
· Draft grant reports
· Draft/Route Grant Agreements.
· Research potential donor prospects using all available resources
such aspublications, internet, guides, etc.
· Manage donor databases including data entry, on-line shipping
database,invoicing, gift and pledge entry, gift acknowledgements,
track receivables andrevenue reconciliation
· Working with G & A on project and organizational
budgets
· Working with other departments on project requests· Organize
and update fundraising/sales kits
· Assist in the on-site management of Film Independent sponsors,
as assigned
· Track staff prospect assignments, including progress toward
goals, preparemeeting agendas and materials
· Support activities of Director of Diversity Development· Other
duties, as assigned
Requirements:
· Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal

· Strong organizational, administrative, and research skills
needed
· Bachelor's degree preferred
· Entertainment industry experience helpful
· Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, Filemaker Pro; Mac
proficiency a plus.
