New York University is recruiting for a Prospect Researcher, Corporate and Foundation Relations, to identify and evaluate potential corporate and foundation donors for various School-based programs and University-wide initiatives in need of funding. In this role, he/she will prepare prospect lists, in-depth profiles and briefings for development staff and senior members of University administration, analyze information on prospects and donors using a variety of online resources and forward results to development staff and senior members of University administration to use for the creation of targeted cultivation and fundraising strategies.

To qualify, you must have a Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years' experience identifying corporate and/or foundation prospects using Foundation Center's online database, Foundation Directory online. Prior development or fundraising experience is required. Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills are a must. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software including experience with online databases. Related experience at a large, urban university preferred.
