The Charles Koch Foundation seeks a Senior Development Associate. The main responsibility of this role is to identify and recruit major philanthropic partners who seek to explore a free and prosperous society in collaboration with institutions of higher education. Work with these partners to fund the talent and research capabilities necessary to advance economic freedom.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Meet with donors and prospects to cultivate major gifts

- Assist with implementing a regular, year-round communication strategy with our network of participants

- Assist and/or lead other development/fundraising projects as they occur

Qualifications:

- High degree of strategic management, prioritization, and solicitation of high level donors

- Past fundraising experience, such as with a political campaign, company, or non-profit organization

- Minimum of 5 years experience in a professional environment

- Exceptional interpersonal skills

- Computer proficiency, including Excel, MS Office, Outlook, internet researching tools, and some database experience

- Solid understanding of and commitment to classical liberal ideals, market principles, and the advancement of economic freedom

- Demonstrated evidence of leadership ability or entrepreneurial behavior

- ·Humility, integrity, passion, motivation, and a self-starter attitude

- High degree of discretion and confidentiality

- Ability to prioritize; excellent organizational skills

- Advanced skills in strategic planning and coordination

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

- Willingness to travel and attend events outside of normal work hours
