The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation (RRPF) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to the promotion of the legacy of Ronald Reagan and his timeless principles of individual liberty, economic opportunity, global democracy, and national pride. It sustains the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, the Reagan Center for Public Affairs, the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Presidential Learning Center and The Air Force One Pavilion.

Located in Simi Valley, California, the Library houses over 55 million pages of Gubernatorial, Presidential and personal papers and over 60,000 gifts and artifacts chronicling the lives of Ronald and Nancy Reagan. It now also serves as the final resting place of America's 40th President. We are currently seeking a qualified Director of Development and Planned Giving to join our dedicated team!...

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer (CDO), the Director of Development and Planned Giving will have an opportunity to leverage his/her extensive philanthropic leadership skills to develop and implement a strategic plan to substantially increase major gift revenue from individuals while performing the following duties:

- Developing and implementing a planned giving marketing plan to identify and cultivate potential planned gift donors
- Managing estate administration process on behalf of the organization for matured planned gifts. Serving as primary contact with executors, trustees, personal representatives and others to ensure timely and accurate receipt of gift expectancies
- Leading monthly gift planning team meetings
- Reaching assigned fundraising and activity goals
- Developing and implementing strategies for involving professional advisors and other centers of influence
- Managing the organization's Professional Advisory Councils
- Substantially increasing deferred and major gift income
- Maintaining appropriate donor tracking and activity monitoring systems to ensure that cultivation and solicitation strategies are successfully implemented and goals are met
- Developing a strategy and implementation program to expand significantly the prospect pool utilizing effective donor identification and acquisition techniques
- Supporting events and other programs and activities of the Board, ED and CDO relating to the mission and activities of the Library and Foundation
- Supporting the Board, ED and CDO in the ongoing implementation of the Foundation's current Centennial campaign and future major gift campaigns
- Managing The Ronald Reagan Legacy Council donor recognition program
- Maintaining continuing education on charitable tax laws and regulations that affect deferred, life-income and non-cash charitable contributions
- Informing donors through various media on relevant changes to income, gift, estate and charitable tax law
- Staying abreast of trends in philanthropic planning

The ideal candidate will be a highly-qualified professional with demonstrated leadership skills. The ability to create and nurture long-term relationships with donors, prospects, and volunteers and to develop appropriate cultivation and solicitation strategies for each individual is essential to success.

Required skills and experience:
- 7+ years demonstrated success in identifying, cultivating and soliciting planned gifts in a significant non-profit organization
- Bachelor's degree (advanced degree and/or designation in related field (J.D., CFP®, CSPG) preferred)
- Ability to articulate the case for support and to interact with Board members, volunteers, donors and prospects at the highest level
