Director of the Hampden-Sydney Fund

Hampden-Sydney College, a private liberal arts institution with a commitment to excellence in undergraduate education, invites applications for Director of the Hampden-Sydney Fund. The successful candidate will be a leader within the department of Institutional Advancement and will directly manage the College's programs and staff working to secure unrestricted gifts to support the College. This position reports to the Director of Development, and oversees two Assistant Director positions.

The successful candidate should possess a high level of initiative, and be a proven leader in managing a complex portfolio of responsibilities and staff. The candidate must be able to work creatively to strengthen the programs under his or her direction. Paramount skills are the ability to work with the varied constituencies of the College in such a manner that our external audiences are focused and working in tandem to move the College to a greater excellence.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two or more years' experience in documented fundraising, preferably in a strong annual fund operation, is required.
