Senior Development Officer
The Hole in the Wall Foundation, located in New Haven, Connecticut, is a supporting organization responsible for raising funds for the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps, and its member camps. The Association of Hole in the Wall Camps is the largest worldwide family of camps for children with serious medical conditions originally founded by Paul Newman.
The position of Senior Development Officer provides an opportunity for an experienced fund-raising professional with a proven record in one or more fund-raising styles. Direct Marketing experience a plus.
Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and 3-5 years' successful fund-raising experience including direct responsibility for management of a fund-raising style. The candidate should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with other members of the development team. The ideal candidate would have an entrepreneurial perspective, and strong writing skills. It would also be valuable for the candidate to be familiar with Raiser's Edge and Net Community, and have experience in marketing communications, and in grant making.
We are seeking a candidate that is immediately able to assume bottom line responsibility for a fund-raising style while also being able to work with other development colleagues on other styles. Salary is commensurate with experience and comparable to other nonprofit organizations.
