People & Systems is assisting a civil / human rights advocacy organization in DC with their search for a Development Director.

OPPORTUNITY:

This is an opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial environment with little bureaucracy where you will lead a fundraising effort that raises $3.5 million+. You will be instrumental in not only growing major individual donor support but for creating maximum visibility in Washington DC as well as other strategic markets nationwide such as San Francisco, LA, Chicago and NY.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

With the assistance of two Development Associates, you will serve as the primary architect and implementer of all fundraising initiatives, while working effectively with the Executive Director, Board and senior management team. QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires a BA, 4+ years of development experience and a track record of gaining "trusted advisor" status within your work history. A highly strategic fundraising professional with an ability to work in a "hands-on" fashion is required. The ideal individual will also have a solid presence, exude professionalism and possess sensitivity to diverse cultures and customs (experience with civil rights or related mission types is preferred).

HOW TO APPLY:

By applying, you are only sharing your resume with People & Systems, not the hiring organization. Your information is NEVER shared with our client without your permission.
