We currently have an opening in our downtown Chicago office for a Vice President and Chief Operating Office of our Philanthropic Analytics division. In 2006, GG+A created the Grenzebach Glier Philanthropic Analytics Division to provide continued leadership in rigorous, data-driven strategy for fundraising. Since pioneering prospect screening in 1986, GG+A has been a leader in the industry, employing the very latest demographic and statistical techniques to provide sophisticated, cost-effective prospect analysis with its DonorScape? services. Continuing this leadership role, in 2004 we launched the first completely Web-based prospect screening product. Since its inception, GG+A has screened over 80 million donor, member, alumni, and constituent records for hundreds of not-for-profit education, healthcare, membership, and cultural institutions.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER, PHILANTHROPIC ANALYTICS

The Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Philanthropic Analytics is responsible for the leadership and oversight of the Philanthropic Analytics division, providing direction for business strategy to maximize growth and profitability while ensuring that client deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and consistency. The incumbent works with internal and external project teams, and is a proactive communication link between the Analytics team and GG+A's strategic consultants. He/she will work to devise strategies to build collaborative consulting projects to maximize GG+A Analytics tools in complex, large-scale client engagements to empower the firm's evidence-based consulting. The position reports to the Executive Vice President and Managing Director.

· Extensive knowledge of fundraising; knowledge of analytics tools strongly preferred

KEY TASKS

Operations
· Manage Philanthropic Analytics operations by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies.
· Implement improved processes and management methods to generate higher ROI and workflow optimization.
· Direct and coordinate staff, programs, and analytics activities to attain key objectives that foster effective internal and external relationships.
· Continue to assess and develop the Analytics organization, building a strong center around processes and controls, and creating an organization capable of supporting planned growth.
· Focus on continuous improvement in all areas including systems, policies, and procedures, in order to improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the division.

Business Development
· Create and design strategies aligned with organizational goals, and implement programs to ensure attainment of business plan for growth and profit.
· Advise on strategic business development and planning issues that relate to and affect the operations of the company.
· Assist in developing the direction and implementation of marketing efforts for the Philanthropic Analytics division. Provide guidance on organized and proactive external communication programs to enhance the company's services. In collaboration with Marketing team, assure that all communication is coordinated and in line with internal standards and objectives.
· Foster teamwork, cooperation, and results-oriented outcomes with other professionals in the firm. Develop strategic plans for ongoing training opportunities to increase consultants' familiarity with Analytics tools for use with client projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Undergraduate degree required
· Minimum ten years experience in management in non-profit or for-profit institutions
· Experience in fundraising highly desirable
· Ability to motivate and guide staff members, while working within tight time frames and to a high standard of quality.
· Proven strong project management skills.
· Demonstrated ability to interact with consulting professionals and with clients at all levels
· Knowledge of data management and processing systems strongly preferred.
· Sales experience within consulting/professional services and/or IT industry preferred.
