Position: Director of Membership
Organization: Philadelphia Museum of Art

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is seeking a Director of Membership to provide leadership for a 65,000 household membership program. This position oversees all operations associated with acquiring, retaining, and upgrading the membership base; developing annual revenue and expense budgets; developing strategic and integrated membership marketing programs involving mail, phone, and e-campaigns; and member programs and services. The position manages a team of 5 direct reports, which includes oversight of the Museum's Data Center and Telemarketing Center (with up to 20 part time calling staff). The Director of Membership collaborates extensively with departments across the Museum, most notably Visitor Services, Development, and Education to maximize the membership experience and ongoing stewardship. Qualified candidates must possess 5+ years related management experience in an organization of similar size and complexity, and a track record demonstrating superior qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, oral and written communication expertise, and people-management skills. Proficiency in Word, Excel and Access, and a working knowledge of Raiser's Edge or similar fundraising database system is required. Some weekend, evening and holiday work will be required.
