DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) serving the National Capital Area seeks experienced professional fundraiser responsible for planning and executing non event fund raising activities for the division. The position will have responsibility for oversight and implementation of the major gift programs, foundation giving and direct mail programs reporting directly to the division President.

Cultivate external business relationships within the community including business, foundation and government contacts. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of progressive fund raising experience including experience in Major Gifts, Donor Development, direct mail and grant writing. The position will have oversight for the division donor data base. Must have previous supervisory experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
