Position: Senior Project Officer
Organization: Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health

The International Center for AIDS Care and Treatment Programs (ICAP) at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, is seeking a Senior Project Officer who will provide broad managerial support to the development, implementation, and evaluation of HIV prevention, care and treatment activities for multiple ICAP country programs in one of three regional teams. Current teams support programs in East, West and Southern Africa. Reporting to a Regional Program Director, the candidate will play a key role in ensuring that country programs are effectively supported by technical, financial and administrative units in New York, and will assist country programs with the development of annual work plans and new program initiatives, and with documenting and reporting program results.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Requires a Master's degree in Public Health, business or related discipline plus 5 years of related experience
· Excellent oral/written communications, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills
· Candidate must possess the ability to work independently to perform the duties described in the job description
· Regular travel (approximately 25%) to country offices required
Preferred Qualifications:
· 3-5 years' experience in HIV/AIDS programs, including experience in developing country settings
· Extensive experience in program development and monitoring required
· Experience working with U.S. government-funded programs highly desirable
· Bi-lingual English/Portuguese or English/French preferred
