Development

Weill Cornell Medical College seeks a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to, under direction, to undertake capital and departmental fundraising activities: devise fundraising program for a portfolio of Major Gift donors/prospects with specific short-term and long term objectives; maintain current knowledge of the funding needs of Weill Cornell Medical College; identify prospective donors; participate in face-to-face solicitations and gift negotiations; ensure proper receipt and acknowledgement of major gifts; collaborate with corporate and foundation relations team to pursue institutional donors; and perform other job related duties as required.


Requirements: Bachelor's degree and three to five years direct fundraising experience, preferably in an academic/medical setting required; Master's degree preferred; must have knowledge and experience with all facets of the development field, especially major and or capital fundraising; previous experience with fundraising database programs a plus; must be able to work evening and weekend hours as needed and be able to travel within New York City; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; and excellent organization and communication skills.
