Position: Director of Development

The Boca Raton Museum of Art is seeking an energetic, professional Director of Development to lead the fundraising efforts of a fast-paced, not-for-profit organization with a $4.5 million dollar budget, of which approximately 60% comes from philanthropic sources. The Director of Development will implement a comprehensive fundraising program including membership, annual giving, major gifts, capital and endowment campaigns and deferred giving programs. Key responsibilities include the preparation of an annual development plan, including short and long-term objectives, fundraising projections, and programs and action strategies to achieve objectives. The Director of Development participates as an integral part of the Museum's senior management team and works effectively with trustees and committees.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor's degree or higher in related field
· 8 + years management experience in the fundraising industry.
· Prefer local candidate with good contacts and networking skills.
· Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office and Raiser's Edge.
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills. Provides technical and analytical management reports from multiple data sources. May deal with confidential and complex customer service issues.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and deal with unexpected crises in an effective and efficient manner.
· Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including frequent evenings and weekends.
· Valid driver's license.
