Columbia College Chicago is an urban institution of over 12,000 undergraduate and graduate students emphasizing arts, media, and communications in a liberal arts setting. The Campaign Coordinator/Development Assistant will provide administrative and organizational support for the Executive Director of Development and the Associate Vice President for Institutional Advancement. This position calls for flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff. In addition to the clerical, reporting and administrative duties required of an assistant, this position will also manage all campaign-related activities, such as organizing and supporting the campaign's volunteer and staff leaders, and overseeing the timely implementation of campaign initiatives. Additional responsibilities include managing the established campaign plan and timelines to provide regular updates to administrative staff and volunteer leaders; scheduling, documenting, and following up on prospect calls/visits; assisting in coordinating and planning all travel arrangements for the Vice President; entering notes and actions into Raiser's Edge; providing training and overseeing of support staff as related to campaign preparation; coordinating related campaign materials including proposals, promotional items, and newsletters; composing, typing, and distributing meeting notes, routine correspondence and reports; as well as scheduling appointments for clients, securing meeting spaces, and distributing meeting minutes.

To qualify, a bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred with a minimum of five years related work experience. Candidates with a minimum of two years experience in fundraising/development are strongly preferred. Senior administrative Assistant or executive assistant experience is preferred.
